"THANE" [spell as "The"en- a river in Myanmar] caused complete devastation to trees, crops in Cuddalore district. It has just crossed just SOUTH of Cuddalore. Farmers and small farm owners faced enormous hardship. Their life is in question. The defenseless farmers are defeated again by the mighty NATURE. Wind velocity ranging to 60-70 kmph [Max in gusting 100-110 kmph] devastated Cuddalore. Though the human life loss is minimized property loss mounted to several thousand crores. Farmers can be compensated by one way or other suitably. But farm owners must venture in to other form of agricultural operations. Short term agricultural operations may save them from financial debacles.
