Food Security

Government of India has formulated "Food Security" bill.  Though it seems to be fillip [?] to poverty alleviation plan, my personal view is that the needy will NOT be benefited.  On the other day when I was invited to delivery a lecture in an ITeS company, I was told that company is offering concession on cooked meals to its staff and many a workers / staff [family]  NEVER cook at home. Staff dedicate themselves for the growth of the company and company is looking after the welfare of the staff and their family right from family's daily food.
Where as the agricultural sector is unorganized  and even Government is NOT ready to give them cooked meals at concessional rates. [This is not FREE meal]
Government instead of giving rice, wheat and grains at concessional rate it can come forward to give cooked meals at concessional rate. This will be giving a real fillip to the poverty alleviation programme.  This will curtails migration from village to town. When Government succeeds to feed atleast 30 to 40 % by providing COOKED FOOD at CONCESSIONAL rate in a village the change in societal transformation will be tremendous.
