Wind reversal
GFS generated maximum temperature for 28 April 2012
(18Z). India is seen just like an
inverted triangle in the gate way of Indian Ocean basin. The highest maximum in the broader portion of
India has crossed 40 C marks.
As the Sun moves northwards intense heating will be taking
place more & more which may bring inland LOWS in the parts of central India
above decan plateau.
Obviously and climatologically Bay and “Sea at Comerin area”
(Indian Ocean) will be usually warmer during April. That is why during this period in the deep
down SW parts of TN will be getting TS.
Festivals like “ Chitrai Thiruvila” etc will be celebrated in Madurai
and adjoining areas.
The 10 Deg latitude i.e Kochi in the West coast, Theni,
Madurai, Sivagangai all in the East unto Rameswaram in the East coast will be
drenched in the light to moderate pre monsoon TS to celebrate Chitrai festival.
‘Horizontally’ winds will be “veering”
from SE in the East (coast) to Southerly in the south. This is an indication of wind reversal.
