The
deep depression over west central Arabian Sea moved westward,
intensified into a cyclonic storm KEILA
Cyclone.It lay centered [IMD VERDICT] at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 2nd
November 2011 over westcentral Arabian Sea near latitude 16.00N
and longitude 55.00E,
about 2150 km west-northwest of Mangalore (Karnataka), 400 km
north-northeast of Socotra Island (Yemen) and 150 km southeast of
Salalah (Oman). The system is likely to move westwards and cross
south Oman and adjoining Yemen coast to south of Salalah around
evening/night of 3rd
November 2011.
- This was expected to hit SINDTH at Pakistan. Due to the strong prevailing wind conditions from EAST
- Later it was thought to take recurvature
