Handling Kudankulam issue

  1. Repeated assurance that weather & earth quake will NOT harm the KNPP by giving scientific evidences
  2. That in the narrow stretch of Pak strait the chances of occurrence of earth quake severe enough to make tsunami is remote.
  3. Similarly the formation of very severe cyclonic storm or super cyclone is also remote.
  4. Worst come worst, even such a disaster struck, then the life loss would be due to disaster only and may not be due to Power Plant. Recent Tsunami in Pukushima (Japan) is one evident.
  5. The sixteen KM radius zone be declared as sterile zone. All men and material will be considered part and parcel of KNPP. The  privileges / concessions / benefits that KNPP scientists and staff are enjoying will also be extended at the same concessional scale to the locals.
  6. Domestic consumption of Electricity will be FREE to all the residents of the sterile zone.
  7. Concessional rate on the consumption electricity for the commercial use and industrial use.
  8. Functioning of community kitchen, community hall, community education institution for the welfare of the people.
  9. Special status to the people living in these zone.
  10. Special rights for the townships and villages on the equity and shares floated by KNPP.
