Trailer Bus

Trailer buses which are introduced in Chennai, Tamilnadu is said to be a boon for the en mass commuters who wish to be transported rapidly at a (any) given period especially during peak hour. This facilities must also be extended to the smaller town and other areas of Tamilnadu where 'Rapid Mass Transportation' is a problem in the absence of MRTS facilities by railways. The Southern Railway Administration has NOT been considering the mass rapid transportation's requirements of the people living in southern districts of Tamilnadu. Southern Railway can consider MRTS operation in Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy,Salem and Tirunelveli. The MRTS operation between
  1.  Mettupalayam-Coimbatore- Tirupur
  2.  Virudunagar-Madurai-Dindigul
  3.  Ramanathapuram-Manamadurai-Madurai
  4.  Salem-Erode-Tirupur
  5.  Nagerkoil-Tirunelveli-Tenkasi
  6.  Thoothukudi-Tirunelveli-Tenkasi
  7.  Kumbakonam-Thanjavur-Trichy
In the absence of Train MRTS facilities the Government of Tamilnadu can consider operating Trailer buses in short distance mofusil routes like
  •  Tirunelveli-Sankarankoil-Srivilliputhur
  •  Madurai-Cumbam
  •  Ramanathapuram-R S Mangalam-Devakottai
  •  Theni-Periyakulam-Batalagundu
  •  Palani-Udumalai-Pollachi
  •  Nagapattinam-Thiruthuraipoondi-Pattukottai
  •  Trichengodu-Nammakal-Salem
  •  Kallakurichi-Sankarapuram-Thiruvannamali
  •  Thirumannur-T.Pallur-Lalgudi-Trichy
  •  Chidambaram-Karaikal-Nagapattinam
These all are few routes which may require immediate attention from Government. Trailer buses will help mass rapid transportaion required in small towns. The DMK government has introduced minibuses to cater the needs of villagers. Similarly the introduction of trailer buses will help facilitate the rapid mass transportation need of villagers.
